Vaison Ventoux Provence Tourist Office A place for everyone!

In 2014, the Vaison la Romaine Tourist Office was awarded the “Tourisme et Handicap” label for the 4 families of disabilities (visual, motor, hearing and mental). In order to welcome all visitors to the Tourist Office in the best possible way, and to make it easier for them to access tourist and cultural information, we have set up several facilities.

Motor impairment
- Automatic entrance doors
- Self-service documentation storage at appropriate height (between 80 and 130 cm)
- Reception desk at regulation height
- 6 reserved parking spaces in front of the Tourist Office and at the center of the archaeological site walkway
Mental disability
- Adapted self-service signage in the lobby
- Sensitization of trained and attentive reception staff
- Presentation of Vaison-la-Romaine: easy-to-read, easy-to-understand document available at reception
Visual impairment
- Presentation of Vaison-la-Romaine : document available in enlarged characters
- Presentation of Vaison-la-Romaine: tourist information in French Braille
- Self-service signage for the visually impaired in enlarged and contrasting characters
- Adhesive strips on height-regulated doors
Hearing impairment
- Fixed magnetic loop for conversation with a hearing-impaired person, installed at the reception desk
- Possibility of welcoming the hearing-impaired in the quietest “zone” of the space
- Possibility of providing a notebook for written communication
- 114 emergency number displayed on the front doors of the tourist office
