Springtime A hymn to life

Spring is by far my favorite season. Winter fades away to make way for an explosion of greenery and brilliant blooms. The fields turn red with poppies stretching as far as the eye can see, while the heady scents of cherry and almond trees fill the air. The mild temperatures invite us to enjoy the day to the full, and on our walks, my children enthusiastically go hunting for butterflies and ladybugs, trying to guess and imitate the songs of the birds.

Summer sweetness In Provence

With the arrival of summer, nature is transformed once again. The bright red of poppies gives way to the delicate purple of lavender. At this time of year, I like to (re)discover the Toulourenc Valley, where the air is fresher, by exploring its three mountain villages. I take the opportunity to admire the lavender fields dotted around the valley, where the bees gather their harvest.

Autumn colors

Autumn is also a sublime time of year, especially for a stroll through vineyards adorned in orange hues. I love going for walks with my children through the winegrowing villages of Vaison Ventoux Provence, which offer breathtaking views.

It’s also a perfect season to climb the Ventoux and try to hear the impressive cry of the stags’ bellow, and to wander deep into the forest listening to all the sounds nature has to offer.

Winter in Provence sweetness and light

In winter, the region takes on a special charm with the soft glow that illuminates the landscape and the shimmering colors of the rocks of the Dentelles de Montmirail. Conditions permitting, snow sometimes blankets the Ventoux peaks, offering a rare opportunity (and yes, snow is rare in Provence!) to share moments of joy and excitement with my children on toboggan runs.

Every season in Vaison Ventoux Provence is a real invitation to contemplation and connection with nature. Each is an equally breathtaking spectacle and an inexhaustible source of wonder.
