Originally from the Netherlands, Nienke has fallen under the spell of our beautiful region. For her, living here is like a perpetual vacation. An epicurean and lover of nature (and flowers!), she enjoys savoring all the wonders and exploring Vaison Ventoux Provence through the seasons. Her passion for terroir, gastronomy and enchanting landscapes make her an enthusiastic ambassador for our region.

The kingdom of wine between excellence and tradition

The vineyards of Vaison Ventoux Provence stretch as far as the eye can see,shaping the landscape between plains and hillsides: a patchwork of colors that changes with the seasons… Cradled by the Provencal sun and the benevolent mistral wind, each plot tells a unique story.

The region’s wines, particularlythe Ventoux and Côtes-du-Rhône appellations, are renowned for their character and finesse. The grape varieties and the know-how of the winemakers are revealed to offer tastings where all your senses are awakened!

Olive trees: guardians of the Provencal terroir

A symbol of the Mediterranean basin, olive trees occupy a special place in the Vaison Ventoux Provence landscape. Sometimes a hundred years old, these majestic trees with their twisted trunks and silvery leaves dot the landscape here and there. The olive groves are a breathtaking sight all year round, but particularly in spring when the different varieties of olive blossom.

The olive harvest generally takes place between November and January. A key moment in the year for our local producers: olive oil, that Provençal liquid gold that enhances cuisine and delights the taste buds, is produced from these precious fruits.

A palette of flavors and colors

Vaison Ventoux Provence is also marked by its orchards, which add touches of color to the landscape. Between magic and brilliance, apricot, almond, cherry and peach trees are all treasures that reveal themselves through the seasons, notably in spring when colors vary from white to pale pink or more intense, and in autumn, the colors offer a palette of warm hues between yellow, orange, gold and red…

Carefully cultivated, these trees produce juicy, tasty, sun-kissed fruit to delight our palates. Our local producers transform the fruit they pick into delicious by-products (jam, fruit juices, tomato coulis, etc.) for our enjoyment.
