The Tour de France, a legendary sporting event, thrills cycling enthusiasts around the world every year. Although the route varies from year to year, Vaison Ventoux Provence has the honor of periodically hosting this legendary competition, offering cycling enthusiasts a unique experience in an exceptional setting.

Enthusiasm Always on time

In 2019, Vaison Ventoux Provence enthusiastically welcomed the Tour de France peloton. The streets were flooded with a tide of waving flags and beaming smiles as the riders challenged the picturesque roads of our region.

But when the streets of Vaison Ventoux Provence aren’t echoing with the cheers of supporters, another ordeal may await the brave cyclists: the fearsome ascent of Mont Ventoux. Indeed, in 2021, this epic ascent was one of the highlights of the Tour de France, where riders had to tackle the steep slopes of the Giant of Provence.

Vaison Ventoux Provence Ideal playground for cyclists

Although the Tour de France doesn’t pass through Vaison Ventoux Provence every year, our region has a real passion for cycling. The winding roads, varied landscapes and mountainous challenges make our region an ideal playground for cycling enthusiasts, where every kilometer covered is an adventure in itself.

Until then, we’ll continue to nurture our passion for cycling and celebrate our magnificent region, where every road, every bend and every peak reminds us of the excitement and grandeur of the Tour de France.

There’s only one question on our minds: when will we be able to relive the excitement of the Tour de France in Vaison Ventoux Provence? Hopefully soon!
