Alain Mascaro is a teacher of literature. A few years ago, he radically changed his life to travel with his partner and develop a passion for nature. In 2021, he published his first novel, Avant que le monde ne se ferme (Autrement, Prix Première Plume and Talents Cultura 2021, elected one of the 50 favorite books of the French in 2022 and Le Livre favori des Français France Télévisions).
