A wine-growing village

This small winegrowing commune, open to the world, with its warm welcome and peaceful atmosphere, reveals itself through a tour proposed by the Rasteau Bienvenue Tourist Information Point.

Make your way to the village square, Place de l’Apparent, shaded by majestic plane trees, where village life comes alive to the rhythm of the seasons. Let yourself be guided by the ramparts that surround Rasteau and admire the old stone houses, the various fountains and the period wash-house, silent witnesses to a rich past and the passing of time.

Coup de coeur

The Escapade des Gourmets, on the Pentecost weekend, and the Nuit du Vin, in August, are two events that bring together several thousand visitors each year to discover the wines of Rasteau. Both Crus were granted AOC status in 1944 for Vins Doux Naturels and in 2010 for Vins Rouge Secs de Rasteau.
