Creative workshop in which you'll discover the techniques of linocut and intaglio engraving.
What is linocut?
Linocutting is an engraving and printing technique practiced on linoleum plates.
The art of linocutting involves removing material from these plates by gouging them.
What is intaglio or etching?
The technique involves engraving on metal plates - zinc or copper - coated with an etching varnish. The plate is then immersed in an acid bath, which bites into the matrix for a specific period of time. Once the varnish has been removed, the matrix is inked and printed.
