Haute ville 84110 Vaison-la-Romaine
Located at the eastern end of the rock overlooking the valley, it was built in the 15th century at the request of the local inhabitants. It has been enlarged and modified many times over the years, and is now the venue for cultural events throughout the summer.
Built in 1464, it was subsequently enlarged (nave and choir in the late 16th century) and embellished until the end of the 18th century.
Revolutionary looting impoverished the decor. Finally, in the 19th century, as the population moved to the valley, the liturgy was abandoned in favor of the old Romanesque cathedral.
