Without incriminating food aid volunteers and organizations, the film skilfully exposes the limits of the latter, in particular the logic of overproduction that it conceals. Manger pour vivre is a good introduction to the social security of food, and opens up a wide range of debates. The approach is very human and positive, representing both collective and individual action, as well as the sincerity of the protagonists.
