Take part in 3 days of historical re-enactment at the home of the Count and Countess of Grignan, who receive Madame de Sévigné with great pomp and ceremony.
A life-size plunge into the century of the Marquise de Sévigné. During the day, the château comes alive with fencing demonstrations, reconstructed 17th-century shops, workshops, costume parades, horse shows, games and dances...

As the marquise arrives at the château escorted by musketeers, she is attacked by conspirators. Who will be the victor?
Fight followed by a demonstration of the equestrian art of Madame de Sévigné's time.

In the courtyard of the ruins, discover the stores and trades of yesteryear with the Montilisio Salto company:
- Apothecary shop: find out all about the remedies of yesteryear.
- Fashion merchant's shop: find out what was fashionable in the Marquise's day.
- Poacher's stall: how did fashion spread in those days? Through certain newspapers, but also by sending out certain dressed dolls.
- Échoppe cabinet de curiosité: a mixture of objects, each stranger than the last.
- Public writer's stall
- Échoppe cuisinière: gastronomy and the art of the table are codified, and some recipes and accessories may surprise you!
- Échoppe pâtenotrière: jewelry of all kinds
Enter the Grand Siècle!
10 a.m. to 6 p.m. - in the château halls
Costumed actors and dancers welcome you to the King's Hall for workshops on old-fashioned games (Giroulette, Toupie des Indes, Cavagnole, etc.), skits on "fly" pose and fan language, and demonstrations of manners and poetry. Workshops on hygiene, make-up, the art of wearing the fly... Theatrical and musical interludes.
