An artistic encounter between music and painting: a sensitive, poetic evening focusing on life and emotions. Painter Karibou and pianist Jérémy Gohier combine their worlds, where images and music meet.
Karibou, a painter, now lives in Villedieu, a small village in Provence, as well as on the Île d'Yeu, where her work can be seen in her studios.
After studying art history, she devoted herself entirely to painting, her passion. She discovered the Perche region and lived there for over twenty years.
She has exhibited in numerous towns and cities in France and abroad. Karibou explores landscapes on land and in the wind, the ocean and storms, skies, faces, animals, gardens... She also explores etching and lithography, but finds unparalleled pleasure in oil painting. She has published several books of painting and poetry: Île d'Yeu moisson de couleurs, Jardins de mer, Paysages de l'âme, Île d'Yeu lumières, Vive les mères poules, Un chant secret, Sur les fils de la Vierge Romanès cirque Tzigane, Poèmes d'Océan et de Provence and this summer: À cœur Chien and À fleur de Chat.
Jérémy Gohier, a graduate of the Pôle d'Enseignement Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Rennes, the Haute École de Musique de Genève and the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris (CNSMDP), Jérémy Gohier leads an eclectic career as a pianist, mixing recitals, chamber music, teaching and contemporary creations.
Jérémy Gohier began his piano studies at the Conservatoire de Reims with Annick Paré and Julien Médous, then at the Conservatoire de Rennes in Alexandre Léger's class. He also trained with François Dumont in Rennes and Massimo Somenzi at the Conservatorio di Musica Benedetto Marcello in Venice. Involved in artistic creation and teaching, he participated in the development of Cécile Lartigau's transdisciplinary show, an adaptation of Voltaire's Candide ou l'Optimisme, as part of the Artist Diploma Créations program at the CNSMD in Lyon. At the same time, he continues to perform as a chamber musician in a ondes Martenot-piano duo with Cécile Lartigau. Since 2022, Jérémy Gohier has taught piano at the Edgar-Varèse conservatory in Gennevilliers.
