This route pays tribute to the courage, ingenuity and spirituality of the ancient people who built the many chapels here. -
The village hill of Cairanne rises like a spur above the vineyards: after the chapels of Saint-Geniès and Notre-Dame-de-la-Vigne-et-du-Rosaire on the plain, the route climbs this spur, then, beyond the village, progresses slowly up to "the mountain", from where the view sweeps 360° over magnificent mountain scenery and the vineyards of Cairanne and Rasteau.
