From April 7 to 12, 2026, discover this meeting of local crafts, between tradition and innovation. JEMA 2026 in the Baronnies is organized by the CCBDP in partnership with the Chambre des Métiers et de l'Artisanat.
The tour begins with a visit to the new museum, which traces the history of the Scourtinerie, the olive and the scourtin, the filtering mat used in olive oil mills in the past... You'll discover how this know-how was transformed over time to give birth to coconut fiber scourtins, now mainly used for decoration. The tour continues in the workshop, where you'll watch a weaving demonstration from A to Z: fiber preparation, vintage machines in operation, manual finishing... The demonstration will focus on the creation of the "Scourtins de Provence" decorative rugs, emblematic of the Scourtinerie's current production. An immersion into the heart of a living art, between heritage, transmission and contemporary creation.
