A beekeeper and filmmaker with a passion for ethology, Sylvère Petit films nature and animals magnificently, imbuing his splendid images with a restless poetry. His singular film is an invitation to go beyond the question of protecting biodiversity, whose limits and failures we can legitimately observe, and to question what forms its foundation: our representation of living things.
