Every year in June, cycling enthusiasts gather for an epic event: Colnago GF Mont Ventoux. This cyclosportive race, a veritable institution in the world of cycling, is a not-to-be-missed event for cycling enthusiasts, who have the opportunity to put themselves in the shoes of professionals and enjoy the exceptional scenery. New this year: three gravel courses make their debut on the weekend of May 31 and June 1, 2025, when cycling takes pride of place in Vaison Ventoux Provence. Mont Ventoux, Dentelles de Montmirail, picturesque villages in the heart of famous vineyards await you!

Get ready for an unforgettable experience in the heart of majestic landscapes… From the Col de Fontaube and the Col de l’Homme Mort, via the spectacular Gorges de la Nesque, every kilometer of your route is a real immersion in the raw, natural beauty of our landforms.

And to crown this adventure, a grandiose finale awaits you on the mythical Mont Ventoux, that giant of Provence inspiring humility and admiration. A few weeks later, this same summit will welcome the Tour de France cyclists, testifying to its legendary aura. 2025 is the perfect year to take up this challenge and create lasting memories.

Sunday June 1st 

  • 137 km / 3200 m D :
    An exceptional challenge with the ascent of Mont Ventoux via Bédoin.
  • 106 km / 2600 m D :
    A route via the Col de l’Homme Mort and an ascent of Mont Ventoux via Sault.
  • 80 km / 1100 m D :
    The perfect challenge to measure yourself against, with an ascent of Mont Ventoux via Sault.

New 3 gravel courses

Three gravel routes are on offer this year. Designed to let you discover the richness and diversity of the Provencal landscape, starting and finishing in Vaison-la-Romaine, these routes invite you to explore a variety of paths, between vineyards, hilltop villages and forests.

These non-timed, non-classified routes are an invitation to enjoy thegravel experience in a friendly atmosphere. The routes will be provided as GPX files a few days before the event, with a few arrows positioned at strategic points to help you find your way around.

Saturday, May 31st 

  • 46 km route – La Virade Romaine
    855 m ascent
  • 80 km route – Braquet et Dentelles
    1,610 m ascent
  • 110 km route – La Grande Escapade
    3,200 m ascent
La Virade Romaine

Ideal for an introduction to gravel, this route takes you to the gateway to the Dentelles de Montmirail. You’ll alternate between small roads and paths through vineyards, passing through picturesque villages before returning to Vaison-la-Romaine via its famous Roman bridge.

Braquet et Dentelles

This route follows the start of the 46 km route, then enters the heart of the Dentelles de Montmirail. You’ll discover the Clapis cliffs and enjoy the scenery all the way to the Comtat plain, before returning to Vaison-la-Romaine via a small balcony trail offering views over the hills of the Drôme Provençale.

La Grande Escapade

Designed for experienced cyclists, this route crosses the Dentelles de Montmirail on a variety of trails, from the cliffs of the Clapis to the Comtat plain. You’ll explore hilltop villages, forest paths and wild valleys at the gateway to the Baronnies, before returning to Vaison-la-Romaine.

      • 7:00 p.m.: Closing of show and number withdrawal

      • 8:00 am: Gravel formulas set up in SAS.
      • 8:30 am: Gravel formulas start.
      • 9:00 am: Opening of the Village Expo at Place Burrus and bib withdrawal.
      • 7:00 p.m.: Closing of the show and number withdrawal.
    • Sunday, June 1 (morning)
      • 6:30am: Opening of the participants’ gate, avenue du Général de Gaulle.
      • 7:30 am: Departure of the Colnago GF Mont Ventoux.
      • 10:00 am: Opening of the Expo Village.
      • 10.00 am: Arrival of the first Piccolofondo rider at the summit of Mont Ventoux.
      • 11:00 am: Arrival of the first Médiofondo rider at the summit of Mont Ventoux.
      • 11:15am: Arrival of the first runner at Place Burrus.
    • Sunday June 1 (afternoon)
      • 12:00 pm: Arrival of the first Granfondo runner at the summit of Mont Ventoux and opening of the catering area.
      • 3:30 pm: Piccolofondo & Médiofondo awards ceremony begins.
      • 15:30: Arrival of the last competitor at the summit of Mont Ventoux.
      • 4:00 pm: Granfondo awards ceremony begins.
      • 4.45pm: Arrival of the last competitor in Vaison-la-Romaine.
      • 5:00 pm: Catering closes.
        6:00 pm: Show closes.

    Traffic restrictions

    Mont Ventoux

    The road is closed at Mont Serein (north side) and Chalet Reynard (south side). Motorized vehicles and non-participating cyclists are prohibited. Please note: there is ample parking at Mont Serein (ascent via Malaucène, 5km from summit).

    Shuttle

    A shuttle service is available for accompanying persons, departing from the Mont Serein station to the summit from 9:00 am (first departure) to 4:00 pm (last return). Departure every 45 minutes. We strongly advise you to book online when purchasing your race number.

    • D19: Col de la Madeleine road (7am – 9am, Bédoin > Malaucène direction).
    • D217: Col de la Gabelle road (7.30am – 10am in Gabelle > Flassan direction, then 9.30am – 12.30pm in Flassan > Gabelle direction).
    • D942: route des Gorges de la Nesque (7.30am – 12pm in direction Monieux > Villes sur Auzon).
