A walk through the Toulourenc Valley at the foot of Mont Ventoux to discover medicinal and poisonous plants.
“This walk is a perfect blend of nature and heritage. I love this hilltop village, its traditional houses, its cobblestone streets, and above all, the breathtaking view of Mont Ventoux. The walk also lets you learn a lot about wild plants—whether medicinal or poisonous—thanks to the informational signs along the way. Awaken all your senses and make the most of this walk!” Sylvie, a resident of Brantes.
>>>> RECOMMENDATIONS
HUNTING: During hunting season, I wear brightly colored clothing, make myself clearly visible, and follow the signs posted by hunters.
GRAZING AREAS: If I encounter livestock guard dogs coming toward me, I do not pet them or threaten them. I stop and wait patiently for the “check” to end before calmly continuing on my way, going around the herd as much as possible. It’s best not to bring your dog; if you do, keep it on a leash at all times. As a reminder, review the proper precautions to take when encountering livestock guard dogs and watch the video about sheepdogs.
FIRE HAZARD: Fire is the enemy of the forest… and of hikers! I don’t smoke in the forest or light fires there—especially since it’s prohibited no matter the season! And during the summer, before setting out on a hike, I check the conditions and regulations for accessing forested areas.
