The Compagnons des Barrys association invites you to come and admire two windows devoted to Christmas traditions, including a nativity scene and a window dedicated to Christmas in the Provence of yesteryear...

The association, Les Compagnons des Barrys, invites you to come admire two display windows dedicated to this Christmas tradition. The first is a large nativity scene featuring santons ranging from 25 to 30 cm in height, depicting the Nativity and villagers going about their daily lives, with the village of Sablet as the backdrop. This year, a winegrower’s corner has been added. The second display will transport you to a Christmas evening in old-fashioned Provence, where figures in 19th-century costumes are preparing to celebrate around a fireplace. The setting is spectacular: the old fireplace, the Provençal ceiling, the antique candlesticks, the vintage tableware… You’ll find everything that makes up a traditional Christmas feast: the symbolism of the three tablecloths, the three candles, the three bowls of sprouted wheat, the empty place setting for the poor, and the thirteen desserts… These displays can be viewed all day through the windows from December 12 through January 10. In the evening, starting at 5 p.m., the rooms will be fully lit: until midnight during the week between Christmas and New Year’s Day, and until 10 p.m. on other days.
