All the estate's actions are reasoned and guided by observation. Thanks to this meticulous work, the wines reflect the character of their respective vineyards: fine and silky at Sablet, subtle and fruity at Séguret, fleshy and velvety at Rasteau, powerful and elegant at Vacqueyras.
The estate was taken over in 2010 by Vasco Perdigao, supported by his wife Sonia, a former nurse who has now turned her hand to winemaking.
Vasco has practiced his craft and honed his skills with passion for many years in the renowned vineyards of the northern Côtes-du-Rhône. However, it was in the southern Rhône Valley, a region he is particularly fond of, that he decided to set up as a winemaker.
2024 marks a turning point for the domaine:
- Expansion and modernization of the winery to improve working conditions and optimize the quality of our wines during the winemaking, ageing and storage phases.
- New bottle labelling to stand out with a new identity
- New estate name: Domaine Chamfort disappears to make way for Domaine LA PERDRIERE! This new name echoes the family name "Perdigao": partridge in Provençal and Portuguese. La Perdrière is the place where they find shelter. This new name now designates "OUR PLACE", a renovated space "le logis des Perdigao"!
