The Compagnons des Barrys association invites you to come and admire two display cases dedicated to this Christmas tradition.
The first is a large crib of 25-30 cm santons depicting the Nativity scene and villagers, with the village of Sablet as a backdrop.
This year, a winegrower's corner has been added.
The second showcase takes you to a Christmas evening in the Provence of yesteryear, where characters in 19th-century costume prepare to feast in front of an open fire. The decor is spectacular: the old fireplace, the Provencal ceiling, the antique candlesticks, the old-fashioned crockery... You'll find everything that goes to make up a big Christmas dinner: the symbolism of the three tablecloths, the 3 candles, the 3 bowls of sprouted wheat, the empty place for the poor man and the thirteen desserts...
These exhibits can be viewed all day through the windows from December 14 to January 31.
In the evenings, from 5 p.m. onwards, the rooms will be fully lit: until midnight during the week between Christmas and New Year's Day, and until 10 p.m. on other days.
