During the All Saints' Day school break, visitors of all ages are invited to step inside the castle to discover “The Simiane Castle Experiences,” a unique event combining local history, science, exploration, puzzles, and theater.

On the agenda: two very different experiences—one free and family-friendly during the day, the other a theatrical experience reserved for the most daring after dark. By day: “Science, Mysteries, and Discoveries” Step back in time to the 19th century—the era of the Industrial Revolution, technological advances, and the modernization of society. Through an interactive investigation that visitors can explore on their own inside the castle, they’ll discover the local history of Valréas—particularly the story of Flavien Lemoyne—through archival materials, hands-on exhibits, and various workshops. A fun way for the whole family to explore local heritage and history! When the Château closes its doors to the public, the atmosphere changes completely… Created by Historique Immersion, “The Forbidden Experience” is an immersive theatrical experience that takes visitors on a scripted journey through the heart of the Château de Simiane. Actors, a story, sets, and a series of scenes: for about 45 minutes, the audience doesn’t just watch the story… they become part of it! The experience begins even before you step through the Château’s doors, with an initial theatrical performance under the porch.
