Description
The “De Brassens à la Nouvelle Scène” festival invites you to a concert by Jacques Raulet, with Angeline as the opening act.
Opening Act: ANGELINE
SO MUCH
“There are so many stories
So many things left to believe in
So many adventures
There are so many promises
In the shadow of a drunken haze
The ink of a handwritten note”
The show begins with these words. And then it unfolds, it wanders, it bursts forth… SO MUCH is a bubbling cauldron of songs, milk simmering on the stove, the pot of life overflowing, the froth of writing. Lyrics, vocals, composition: Angéline Piano; composition, arrangements: Emmanuel Le Poulichet
JACQUES RAULET: THE STORY OF A SINGER
A performer of songs by Brassens, Brel, Ferré, and Nougaro, Jacques Raulet is first and foremost a singer-songwriter. For his return to Vaison, as part of a festival dear to his heart, he presents a new show: *Le Roman d’un chanteur*.
With the collaboration of the excellent guitarist Théo Farand, he takes us on an imaginary journey: from the moors of Brittany to the cabarets of Montmartre, from the banks of the Seine to the scorching hills of Provence, all the way to tropical shores. Musicians and dancers, women’s and men’s voices intertwine,
at times evoking illness and death, but also desire, celebration, and jubilation. A show where poetry, music, and dance always prevail in the end
