Karibou, a painter, currently lives in Villedieu, a small village in Provence, as well as on the Île d’Yeu, where her work can be viewed in her studios.
After studying art history, she devoted herself entirely to painting, her passion. She discovered the Perche region and lived there for more than twenty years.
She has exhibited in numerous cities, both in France and abroad. Karibou explores landscapes of earth, wind, the ocean, and storms, as well as skies, faces, animals, and gardens…She also experimented with various techniques—engraving and lithography—but found unparalleled joy in oil painting. She has published several books of painting and poetry: *Île d’Yeu: A Harvest of Colors*, *Gardens of the Sea*, *Paysages de l’âme*, *Île d’Yeu lumières*, *Vive les mères poules*, *Un chant secret*, *Sur les fils de la Vierge Romanès cirque Tzigane*, *Poèmes d’Océan et de Provence*, and, published this summer: *À cœur Chien* and *À fleur de Chat*.
