Discover 2000 years of history and an exceptional heritage. Follow in the footsteps of the Gallo-Romans at France's largest archaeological site open to the public: an immersion in the opulent ancient city of Vasio.

VISIT : The 2 vast quarters in the city center, 'Puymin' and 'Villasse', offer a stroll through the rich patrician houses of exceptional size, ranging from 2,000 to 4,000 m², the shopping districts, the thermal baths and gardens... In the ancient theater, imagine yourself seated among the 6,000 spectators of the 1st century! Grandiose! Take an even closer look at everyday Gallo-Roman life in the Théo Desplans Museum, with its multitude of everyday objects, imperial statues, frescoes and mosaics... For children: follow in the footsteps of young Lucius on a riddle hunt. Free game booklet (available at the Museum) for children aged 7 to 12 visiting the sites as a family. Depending on the season, guided tours are scheduled: Information on 04 90 36 50 48. >>> Dogs are not allowed inside ancient sites, with the exception of small dogs, which may be carried in a backpack.

Tips
The archaeological sites will be closed on an exceptional basis from November 12 through November 16, 2026. They will reopen to the public on November 17 at 10:00 a.m. The museum, meanwhile, will be open again starting November 17 at 2:00 p.m.
