Jérôme Rouger, born in 1970 in Bressuire (Deux-Sèvres), is an author, director, and actor. He is a co-founder of the La Martingale theater company. His works include *Police culturelle*, *Pourquoi les poules...*, [*Plaire*], *La symphonie pour klaxons et essuie-glaces*, and *En cas de péril imminent...*In 2013, he received the Philippe Avron Prize from the SACD, which honors a writer-performer based on the following five criteria: intelligence, generosity, wit, a humanistic approach, and writing as an essential tool for understanding the world.
