Roaix is one of the smallest appellations in the Côtes du Rhône Villages. Over the centuries, the Voconces, the Romans and then the Knights Templar have left their imprint on this unique terroir, now renowned for its elegant and harmonious wines.

Composition of the terroir

Like a mosaic, the terroir is made up of clay, stony and limestone soils on the heights between 300 and 350m. Cailloutis and marl essentially blend together between 200 and 300m to find safres and sands on the plains.

At Roaix, the vineyard is rooted in an exceptional range of soils. Blue, beige and red marls from the late Tertiary period give the terroir its richness and diversity. This composition directly influences the profile of the wines, providing depth, complexity and a lovely mineral freshness. Roaix is a terroir on a human scale, with a thousand years of history and winemakers who express their vineyards with sincerity.

From exceptional terroir to unforgettable tastings

The appellation is distinguished by its production in three colours. The rouges, the majority, combine finesse and character: black fruits, sweet spices, hints of garrigue and silky tannins are expressed with elegance, from wines for pleasure to cuvées for laying down.

The rosés, fresh and greedy, reveal a tender palate with aromas of small red fruits.

As for the blancs, they surprise with their balance and floral intensity, blending vivacity and roundness for a luminous tasting experience. Each glass tells the story of a place, a generous nature and the passionate expertise of its winemakers.
