Discover town twinning!

Our twin towns

Six towns in the Vaison Ventoux Provence region are twinned with towns in France or elsewhere in Europe! A sign at the entrance to each town shows the name of its twin town.

Fraternal ties An unconditional friendship

Just as the saying goes, ‘birds of a feather flock together’, local authorities generally form alliances based on their similarities and their distinctive characteristics…

This partnership helps to support various areas: culture, heritage, tourism, education… Bonds are forged and meetings become more frequent, enabling us to exchange and share the values that are close to our hearts! Residents forge friendly and, above all, lasting relationships that are passed down from generation to generation!

Twin towns regularly organise cultural events, art exhibitions and artist exchange programmes to celebrate and share their cultural heritage, as well as themed trips and fairs showcasing local produce… A wide range of events designed to build a harmonious world together!

Twinning schemes on a human scale where the value of sharing is self-evident!

  • Cairanne is twinned with two towns. The first is Flobecq, situated in Belgium in the Wallonia region, in the province of Hainaut. The second is Zdar nad Sazavou, situated in the Czech Republic, a few kilometres from Jihlava.
  • Crestet is twinned with Tourzel-Ronzières. This town is situated in France, in the Puy-de-Dôme department in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region.
  • Entrechaux has a twinning arrangementwith the municipality of Steinbrunn-le-Bas, situated near Mulhouse in the Haut-Rhin department in the Grand Est region.
  • Rasteau has a Franco-Belgian twinning arrangement with the municipality of Houyet in the Walloon Region, in the province of Namur.
  • Séguret maintains friendly ties with the town of Longchamps, a Walloon town in the province of Luxembourg.
  • Vaison-la-Romaine has twinning links with two towns: Martigny, situated in the canton of Valais in Switzerland, and Dunblane, a Scottish town in the Stirling region.

DID YOU KNOW?

The origins of town twinning date back to the post-war period. As a symbol of reconciliation and peace, twinning arrangements are invaluable and a source of camaraderie!
