Iris Scialom has won numerous prizes and honours, including the Monte-Carlo Violin Masters Prize – Prince Rainier III, the Banque Populaire Foundation, the ADAMI Talent 2024 Award, the Gautier Capuçon Foundation, the Académie de Villecroze, the Académie Ravel (2019 and 2021), the Violons de l’Espoir, as well as the Tibor Junior and Mirecourt international competitions. At the Tibor Junior competition, she performed alongside Gidon Kremer, and at the Mirecourt competition, she performed Brahms’s Violin Concerto at the Salle Poirel. Trained at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris in Stéphanie-Marie Degand’s class, Iris Scialom was awarded the Diplôme d’Artiste Interprète there. This training enabled her, in particular, to perform the Sibelius Violin Concerto at the Cité de la Musique in Paris. She was subsequently invited to appear as a soloist at the Opéra de Tours (Sibelius’s concertos and Mozart’s Piano Concerto No. 5), at the Salle Gaveau for Brahms’s Concerto, and at the Opéra de Rouen for Mozart’s Piano Concerto No. 4. She has also performed as a soloist at La Seine Musicale with the Ensemble Appassionato and the Orchestre du Palais Royal, as well as with the Stuttgart Chamber Orchestra in Kronberg. A much sought-after chamber musician, Iris Scialom has shared the stage with artists such as Mihaela Martin, Nobuko Imai, Claire Désert, François Salque, Frans Helmerson, Philippe Jaroussky and Laurent Naouri. Together with pianist Antonin Bonnet, she forms the Duo Arborescence, acclaimed for its sensitivity – “a marvellous poetic thrill” according to Alain Cochard (Concertclassic). The duo has won several prizes at prestigious international chamber music competitions, notably in Rome and Vilnius. Together, they obtained a Master’s degree in chamber music from the CNSMDP, awarded a unanimous ‘Très Bien’ with the jury’s congratulations, whilst studying under Claire Désert and François Salque. They have performed at major festivals such as La Roque d’Anthéron, the Folles Journées in Nantes and Tokyo 2024, and have recorded their first album, dedicated to Fauré, Ravel and Enescu, for the Scala Music label. The Arborescence Duo is the first resident duo of the Singer-Polignac Foundation.
