At the gateway to the magnificent Dentelles de Montmirail massif, a small village clinging to the hillside overlooking the vineyards, one of France's Most Beautiful Villages and nicknamed the Bethlehem of Provence, Séguret puts on an annual show of Provencal traditions.
The church of Saint-Denis comes alive with the performance of the "Li Bergie de Séguret" Mystery, a touching ceremony handed down orally from generation to generation, performed in French and Provençal by the villagers. The mystery lasts almost two hours and features five scenes, beginning with a prophetic song announcing the coming of the Messiah and ending with Adoration.
