Katarina Pejak in concert as part of Parfum de jazz, a touring festival showcasing the vitality and creativity of today's jazz scene, with a special focus on female artists.

A rising blues star with a smooth voice, Katerina is originally from Serbia. Katarina Pejak was trained in classical music. Her music is a blend of styles, bringing together blues, jazz, roots, country and soul, and fitting in well with today's jazz scene. Her album "Pearls on a string", released in 2024 on the Ruf Records label, features twelve tracks: ten are her own compositions and the other two are covers. A blend of jazz and blues, the natural acoustic sound dialogues with the voice and piano. The songs are about her life experience and her move to France in 2022. She says: "Growing up in Serbia, I was very influenced by blues and roots music. At home, we listened a lot to these musical styles, thanks in particular to my father, who has a huge collection of blues albums. Then, thanks to the blues, I became interested in jazz".
