Les Automnales en Vaison Ventoux

• Saturday 27 September at 7pm: “Faucon s’enflamme” at Faucon (school then Plan Jaroussier)
  • Meet at 7pm in front of the school for the start of the torchlight procession. As we make our way to the beautiful Place du 30 mai 1565 (Plan Jaroussier), facing the Ventoux, the association ‘Faucon Bouquine’ will present short stories from Provence.
  • Participants are invited to share a glass of wine from the village’s winegrowers, courtesy of the local council. Then it’s on to the Faucon Comité des fêtes for a plate of sausage and chips for €8/person. Reservations required on 07.70.31.47.51. Indira and her Fire Dance show will set the square and ramparts alight, and the association ”Faucon joue” will provide the musical ambience.

A quiz will also give you the chance to challenge neighbouring villages to a friendly contest based on your knowledge of the area!

• Saturday 4 October at 6pm: “Les Marcellinois en Feu” at Saint-Marcellin-lès-Vaison (Place du Village)
  • Participants will be welcomed at 6pm for the symbolic passing of the torch and a lantern-lit descent. Aperitif to share, with braziers available for those with a sweet tooth: the Quizz des Automnales (Autumn Festival Quiz) will enliven this moment of communion (an opportunity to test our knowledge in good humour). A sit-down meal under a marquee with a surprise show around the fire and a few notes of music.
• Saturday 11 October at 3pm and 7pm: “Belote automnale” in Savoillans (Place du Village)
  • Les Automnales en Vaison Ventoux continues in Savoillans with a coinche competition (3pm, registration €5 per person) followed by an aperitif with wine provided by the Mairie. Finally, participants can enjoy a delicious hot meal provided by the Comité des fêtes. Bookings can be made with Annie (06 59 27 28 64) or Catherine (06 83 51 24 72).
• Friday 17 October at 6.30pm: “Vulcain à Puyméras” in Puyméras
  • Meet at the Place du Jeu de Paume at 6.30pm for the opening of this Automnales en Vaison Ventoux evening, with the handing over of the flame and lanterns before a stroll through the village to the Place de la Mairie. There, Indira will put on a show before sharing an aperitif (the Mairie will provide one drink per person) and playing the Automnales Quiz. At 8.30pm, dinner (registration required) at €12 per person (spelt soup, cheese and dessert).
• Wednesday 22 October at 5.30pm: “Autumn evening in Buisson – Songs and dessert competition” in Buisson (Watchtower, then church and village square)
  • Welcome at 5.30pm at the Tour de Guet with mulled wine and gingerbread. The lantern parade will start at 6pm to the church, where Patrice Leroy, a resident of Buisson, will give a concert of songs he composed himself. From 7.30pm, the Bistrot de Buisson will be serving soup and the commune will be serving chestnuts. Guests are invited to prepare desserts, which will be shared and entered into a competition: the first to win a surprise!

• Saturday 15 November at 7.30pm: “Les Automnales sont à Rasteau” in Rasteau (CLAEP route du Stade) in collaboration with the village of Roaix
  • After a successful joint event organised by Rasteau and Roaix in 2024 (the evening was held in Roaix, and won the “Prix de la Participation”), this time it’s Rasteau that’s hosting the Automnales, with the help of its neighbours from Roaix! Gilbert Chiron and Gilles Gaud, followed by a shared aperitif.
• Thursday 20 November at 6pm: “L’Automnale de Bacchus” in Vaison-la-Romaine (Théâtre Antique)
  • Do you like the Nuit de Bacchus (Bacchus Night) held in July at the ancient site of La Villasse? Then you’ll love the Automnale de Bacchus: same concept, different venue! The Théâtre Antique opens its doors to you for a memorable evening of wine tasting by the Jeunes Agriculteurs, delicious cheese and charcuterie platters and fine hot dishes set to a musical backdrop. Chestnuts provided by the Mairie de Vaison-la-Romaine. Admission free, tasting glass €5.
• Friday 21 November at 6.30pm: “Soup evening” at Saint-Roman-de-Malegarde (salle des fêtes)
  • The village is organising a soup competition for local residents, followed by a soup tasting open to all and a meal (reservation required). A friendly atmosphere guaranteed! Soup tasting from 7pm. The meal costs €12, but must be booked in advance by calling 06.85.33.79.06.
• Saturday 22 November at 6.30pm: “Soirée d’Automne – Braséro et Vin Nouveau” in Cairanne (Cave de Cairanne)
  • The commune of Cairanne, the Comité des fêtes and the Cave de Cairanne are offering an exceptional evening as part of the Automnales en Vaison Ventoux festival: tasting of the new wine from the 2025 harvest with meat cooked in a brazier.
• Friday 28 November at 2.30pm then 6pm: “Belotes automnales à Mollans” at Mollans-sur-Ouvèze (Salle du Bicentenaire)
  • At 2.30pm, a belote competition for a fiery afternoon! Then from 6pm, lantern parade, passing of the Automnales flame in Vaison Ventoux before a convivial moment: aperitif (appetizers offered by the Town Hall) and Automnales Quiz.

• Saturday 13 December at 6pm: “La Fête des Lumières” in Saint-Romain-en-Viennois (place de l’Eglise and place du Marché)
  • It’s St Lucy’s Day (light up your homes) and it’s also the “Autumn Finals” evening. Candles or garlands of lights in the windows, opening procession with children by the light of lanterns in the alleyways. Fire show. Artistic evening (exhibition of artists around the square and in the church) and family evening to meet up in the heart of the illuminated village and share one last Autumn evening and a wonderful Christmas Eve! Roast chestnuts provided by the commune and all drinks at €1!
  • At the end of the evening, the Automnales Final will be marked by the presentation of prizes to the winning villages of the Automnales en Vaison Ventoux 2025!
