A week on the Chemin des Chapelles

The Chemin des Chapelles en Pays Ventoux is a series of 7 walking trails based on the local culture and heritage of the villages of Vaison Ventoux Provence. On this page, we’ve grouped together all the routes in the form of suggestions for a week’s walking holiday! Take advantage of the fine spring or autumn days to immerse yourself in the history of Vaison-la-Romaine and its surrounding villages, as you visit the area’s iconic chapels.

Day 1 Arrival and warm-up

On your first day, you’ll arrive in the Vaison Ventoux Provence area with peace of mind, and reach Vaison-la-Romaine by car or by one of the many bus routes that serve the town. Near the Saint-Quenin chapel, you can take a break in front of the Chemin des Chapelles sign to plan your week’s walking.

After enjoying lunch in one of our partner restaurants, you can start your week with the first hike, which will take you to the village of Villedieu from the Chapelle Sainte-Croix in Vaison-la-Romaine. For your first night, there are several accommodation options between Villedieu and Buisson: find out more below.
